General Recreational Information

The BSA will post the complete rec schedule during the playing season.  Games that are not assigned to a referee are clearly marked with no name or may say OPEN.   If you are currently a referee with the BSA, and you want a game that is marked "OPEN" please send an email to sharding@brookfieldsoccer.com.   In the email, give your name and the game number and specific game information of the game you would like to referee.  YOU DO NOT OFFICIALLY HAVE THIS GAME, until you receive an email confirming you do.  You will be notified whether you get the game or not.

If you are not currently a referee with the BSA, you must first send an email to sharding@brookfieldsoccer.com with your name, address, phone number, email address and level, then you can request an open game.

If you are scheduled on a game, and you find out you can not do it...YOU must find yourself a substitute. Sending out an email to all referees usually works.  Once you find a sub, then YOU must email Sandy Harding sharding@brookfieldsoccer.com with the game number, specific game information and the name of the sub who will be taking your game.  You will receive confirmation that this information has been received.  If you do not notify BSARU of your sub, and your sub does not show up, you will be held responsible for the game.
